Anti-war campaigners gather in London for the Not One More Death protest on the day PM Brown makes a major statement to the House of Commons spelling out the apparent withdrawal of British troops from Iraq.

The protest is called by the Stop the War Coalition (STWC) and the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) amid claims that the anti-war protest has been banned by Metropolitan police.

The march moves out of Trafalgar Square and on toward Parliament Square a short distance away.

Police do not stop the march but carry out several arrests later as the protesters begin to make their presence felt.
