The problem with America is, that what you see here is what the majority of the country looks like, run down infrastructure, lack of investment into the local communities, inadequate social planning, lack of social insight and cohesion in and by the populace, lack of investment into local services, public infrastructure decaying and unmaintained, lack of confidence in local government and town councils, public and private sector indecision, high crime, and just a general lack of care and attention to what it is to be a local community.
These problems have accelerated since 2001, local state governments have seen their budgets slashed by the federal administration with no coherent explanation given, well, no explanation given that actually coherently explains the societal reasoning. This process has been going on for 24 years, think about that, 24 years of creeping competitive austerity imposed upon the local American populace by a Government that has a complete disregard for its own local community, and what for; the military and political persecution of others in foreign countries in service to some ridiculous notion of National greatness!.
I certainly will say, because it is worth saying, that your forefathers would be spinning in their graves knowing what you Democrats and Republicans had made of their legacies, aspirations, hopes and desires for the Great American Nation.
Surely it isn’t this!
