Yes, I am certainly in agreement that occupying a foreign country is never going to work out over the longer term, most especially a country that has a different religion and cultural standard.
If I recall correctly, the Americans went to Afghanistan for no other reason than to teach the rest of the World all about wrongdoing, crime and arrogant subversion, all the Americans did in Afghanistan was cause damage and strut around the place serving their psychological addiction to TV News.
It is the way of the corrupt Democrat/Republican political machine, two political parties that have been ruling the American populace for many years. Neither Republican nor Democrat party believes in anything at all, has no political philosophy, has no naturally existing true paradigm of international friendships, and has no conceptual understanding of International Law nor the binding mechanisms of International Solidarity. In short the American people are governed by nothing more than a Federalist ideology that believes only in militarism and economic fundamentalism.
We currently support the various Socialist parties which are currently making their presense felt all over America because we believe, as many Americans believe, that what America is lacking is true emotional intelligence and adaquate social and political linkage with the average American living in the average American community. In truth the American Republican/Democrat parties have never represented the American people in any coherent way.
Away from self interested private sector media organisations and their tedious 'transatlantic' philosophy, America has been underperforming for many years now because there is no true political representation of the people, and the peoples needs. Go and talk to the American political establishment, any discussion about 'the people' usually induces fear and/or loathing of some kind. One of the greatest political narratives in existence throughout the World, the entitlements of the people, in America, only creates hate/fear and disillusionment in the American political classes.
And that is the reason there must be fundamental change in America, not a re-enactment of old-world dilemnas nor the empowerment of the corrupt monied classes.
